Economics for Peace Institute invites you to celebrate our new office in PNW in partnership with the Chimacum Grange. We are partnering on Raised Right Here, an initiative of the National Grange for 2022 with a focus on local resilience and sustainability! We share alignment of purpose on common interests around ground, grow, biome, together, holistic, peace, plenty, friends, and mutual support. Join in!

This is an opportunity to explore and ask questions. The Institute will present posters of initiatives underway and proposed. We hope to encourage your involvement and support!

In particular, the openhouse will showcase The Groundwork Project set to resume on April 6 spanning two years and three counties – Clallam, Jefferson and Kitsap. Chimacum Grange is at a relatively central crossroads for the study area.

For the Groundwork Project, the Institute seeks community members who would like to sponsor or host gatherings – large or small – in the three county area. The Institute seeks to include local people living in locations for which Chimacum is less accessible like Clallam Bay, Forks, and Bainbridge. An introduction to the research process begins with online or in person slide presentation. Please contact us with any questions and to schedule. We are very approachable.

The Groundwork Project is a pilot study which we hope to see replicated across the country at other Granges and community centers. The Institute’s Grange office supports an emerging and accessible community-based, local sustainability research center!! Our new office is both a research center and a springboard for sustainable economic development based on measurable baseline indicators of community well-being and ecosystem stewardship.

Covid observances. Hybrid online option. A computer will be set up in main room for a fun opportunity to participate if you cannot attend in person. Masks suggested unless conversing with physical distancing outside. We will have a few windows slightly open for ventilation.
